5 Amazing ways to stay happy always

Often times a good start to your day always determine what your day looks like, so it’s often advisable to start your day happiness.

A social, an energetic or a productive start sets the context for your day.

But on some days you may not get a good start for some reason.

Maybe be you had a nightmare which shakes the entire essence of your being and make you feel bad all day long or maybe for the disappointments of the previous day you wake up feeling devastated not knowing how to go about your day without disappointments.

Or you might have lost that positive momentum during a hard first part of the day and after lunch you feel tired, low or lost in a somewhat sad or uninspired mood.

What to do then? Is that day lost and should you just aim for a better day tomorrow?

Should continue the whole day being sad and unhappy?

Should you make the entire day and utter waste knowing well that time is the most precious of all things and can never be regained when lost?

Well, today isn’t over yet.

Maybe you can still make something good out of it.

You can still make more out of it than any other day

Here’s how I do that by breaking the negative mood and getting a new start.

  1. Love yourself

The easiest way to make your day worthwhile and achieving the maximum out of your day is by loving yourself and appreciating your person.

Knowing well that there is only one of your kind which is YOU, just love yourself the more.

I tell myself: OK, I might not feel so good right now, but what can I be grateful for and appreciate in my life?

I usually come up with one simple thing like:

  • My family
  • My sanity
  • That I do not wander around looking for shelter.
  • That I have life
  • That I am healthy

That one thing opens up my mind. It redirects my thoughts from the negativity.

Then I build upon that one thing. I make mental jumps from the roof, to the warmth in our home, to the clean water in the glass beside my computer,

I make those small mental leaps by just moving my attention around in the room I am in. Like skipping from stone to stone over a stream. And I take the time to slowly appreciate all those things.

Then I love myself the more for being the best of my kind

This changes my mood to a happier, warmer and more open one.

  1. Act your expected feelings out!

Emotions work backwards too.

So if I want to become more positive or enthusiastic then I act in the manner of a person who is positive or enthusiastic.

I might not feel like it. But I do it as best as I can anyway.

I smile to everyone and go about my daily activities in a manner that depicts enthusiasm, by so doing I have wrapped myself around positivity as the only answer my already bad mood and then I just SMILE!!

  1. Always Exercise

There have been quite a number of studies to ascertain the general effect of exercise on mood and being happy.

Exercising releases the good mood endomorphins so that after exercise you are always in a good mood.

I have never seen someone who remained mood and unhappy after work out.

Exercise will help you relieve yourself of unnecessary thoughts and you feel refreshed after.

But where is the scientific evidence?

The University of Toronto did quite a good job on this and concluded that physical activity can and helps to keep depression at bay.

  1. Positive thinking affects your daily performance

Positive thinking raises energy levels, creativity and productivity by as much as 30%.The secret is to use positive thinking now rather than when you are rich and famous.

Think positively always and never allow negativity to be prevalent in your thoughts.

Being positive about your everyday life contributes a lot towards channeling your actions towards the right directions.

  1. Get Rid Of Your Negative Thoughts

So many people are deeply engrossed and overwhelmed by their negative thoughts and therefore find it difficult to get rid of them.

What do you do to get rid of these negative thoughts you ask?

Do you know that by actually writing these negative thoughts down on a piece of paper and then destroying them will be very effective in getting rid of them.

It is recommended that you either tear them up or burn them or throwing them in the trash.

There is a psychological connection between destroying these thoughts physically and getting rid of them emotionally and reducing their toxic effects.
